"I love the feeling that I call Rocky Mountain High. I love the feeling that I have when I'm some place up in the mountains and I'm in the middle of magnificence, whether it's in the winter or the summer, and I know that that kind of feeling is something that's available to everybody. When you get to some place that you had to do something to get there, not a crowd of people around and the experience that that is, is a precious thing. And it's something that we must preserve for ourselves. And I hope that a part of what people will get out of this concert is to remember the experiences like that, is that whatever Rocky Mountain High connotes to them, how valuable that is in their lives and that there are things that need to be done and that we can all do to preserve the opportunity to have that experience for ourselves and for our children and grandchildren, forever." - John Denver
"....There's a promise in the journeys of the mind, You begin to believe that there are miracles you will find, And that someday you'll remember who you are. The seed within a bright and shining star, It's like a flame that lives within a hungering heart, That only awaits the gift of love for it to spark, Into a fire that burns forever, endlessly...." -John Denver

Youth v Gov documentary film (seeking environmental justice)
For several years we followed the trajectory of the law suit filed by Children through the Children’s Trust, to hold the government accountable for all of the catastrophic environmental and climate related disasters that are ruining their potential futures. Then it sort of went under the radar and we didn’t hear much, and these ‘kids’ are growing up fast!
.
Now a documentary has been released which showcases the complete experience that these kids have been through, which seems to be the courts bouncing them around to and fro. They have created a timeline of events, evidence in a sense, ranging from 1970 through 2019.
.
For instance, did you know Nixon supported electric vehicles in 1971, before his whole administration blew up? Imagine how much different things would look today if we had had electric vehicles for 50 years already!
.
They uncovered what happened behind the scenes in various administrations regarding coal and fossil fuels, which is eye-opening to say the least. You can see from their timeline how John Denver’s activism and caring for the environment during the late 70’s through the early 90’s and the creation of The Windstar Foundation really was in step with all of the professionals who were doing the research and trying to make a difference.
.
It’s such an informative film and at the end there is cause for hope as another new judge will consider their motion to proceed soon. UPDATE: Current Status:
The youth plaintiffs are awaiting a ruling on their Motion for Leave to File a Second Amended Complaint and the Motion to Intervene filed by 18 states, led by Alabama. Read the timeline here: https://docs.google.com/.../1rBUqIlQQX2-A3JPanMs5ob.../edit
.
It’s all about holding people accountable. Here’s the link to more information of watching the film on Netflix: https://www.netflix.com/title/81586492
