1986 Interview + two songs

Mardy Murie Tribute

John Denver's friendship with Mardy Murie was an example of how he honored those who came before him and he respected her work in preserving and working toward the Alaska Land's Act in 1980.

He would visit her regularly when he was in Wyoming.  John had read all her and Olas' books.  He was moved to write the love song, "A Song For All Lovers" in tribute to them.

It's works and love like this that reminds us of why we continue on caring about the environment and those who paved the way.

1997 Falling Leaves and Blue Water World

This is a better quality video of these two performances than those which have been previously shared here.  In this performance from Maui while attending a convention, John shares the inspirational song Falling Leaves, and follows it by the brand new Blue Water World.  His talk in between explains the why and the wherefore.  As always, John's sincerity rings true. May this inspire you to apply these ideas to your own life.

1991 - I Want To Live

Taped in 1991, as a segment of an award show honoring humanitarian efforts, we see John reaching out with his music to touch the hearts of those in attendance, as well as honoring the children and their caregivers himself.  Let it remind us that as John did, so can we.  Reach out and fill the needs that you see.
